My name is Michael Rodney Moore but my friends call me Mike. In 2021, I began to write my first book, A Songbird In Flight and found the entire process fascinating. My intention was to create a story for my own amusement and to share it with a my wife and then a few family members. I had no intentions of publishing the work! You see in my heart, I'm just a storyteller.
Then a funny thing happened and my family asked me to publish the book. This started my journey to discover how to do so and how to get my book into the hands of others to read.
It has been an incredible journey and one that I look forward to continuing! I hope that you will be a part of this dream and read all of my books.
My background and life before becoming an author was focused on the business world where I served as Treasurer or CFO for a number of small to medium sized banks for forty years. I retired from that life in 2017 and moved to the tiny Blue Ridge Mountain community of Little Switzerland, North Carolina.
In addition to writing, I have a strong passion for motorcycling, cooking, travel, and music. However, my greatest passion is for my wife, Debbie Rose. She is my companion through all the adventures!
